The School of Early Childhood is a workplace that flourishes as we value, care for and respect the ideas and expertise of our members - students, graduate researchers, staff, professional associates, institutional affiliates, visiting scholars and adjunct professors.
The School is involved in specialist teaching, research, professional and community engagement activities. All members of the School have specific roles and responsibilities and provide leadership in aspects of Early Childhood related to their expertise. Members also respect Early Childhood Australia’s Code of Ethics and seek to apply the code in day-to-day decision-making.
The disciplines of education, developmental and social psychology, the arts, health, sociology and anthropology underpin the work of members of the School. Cross-disciplinary approaches and a variety of research methodologies are features of our work. Members of the School invite collaboration with other academics and professionals concerned with similar matters, and seek partnerships with organisations and associations committed to the well-being of young children and families.
