The Research activities of members of the School of Early Childhood are coordinated by the Centre for Learning Innovation. The Centre’s research focuses on the creation of new knowledge and the investigation of a broad range of educational issues that impact on policy and practice at state, national and international levels.

Early Years research draws upon disciplines of education, developmental and social psychology, the arts, health and sociology. Cross-disciplinary approaches to research are a hallmark of our research and a variety of research methodologies are applied to our cutting-edge research in national and international contexts.
